About the Role:
As a Skilled Crew Member in our Landscape Construction division, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional residential and commercial projects. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that tackles landscape challenges with innovative solutions, focusing on hardscape elements like interlock patios, retaining walls, and more.
You’ll work in a supportive, team-oriented environment where communication and collaboration are key to success. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality craftsmanship, and a drive to grow in the landscape industry, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of hardscape elements, including interlock patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, fences, and decks.
- Contribute to the installation of softscape elements as needed.
- Safely operate landscape tools and heavy machinery.
- Help train new crew members, fostering teamwork and skill development.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions as part of a cohesive team to meet project goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in landscape construction, with proficiency in hardscape installation (required).
- Skills: Comfortable working with power tools and small equipment, with a willingness to learn and operate new machinery.
- Work Ethic: You’re dedicated to your craft, respectful of others, and take care of the equipment and materials you work with.
- Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy learning from others, and contribute to your team’s success.
- Active Lifestyle: You enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and taking on new challenges each day.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in hardscape installation techniques (interlock, retaining walls, etc.).
- G Class Drivers License
- Comfortable driving truck and trailer, an asset.
- Reliable transportation to our location in Jerseyville, ON (not accessible by public transit).
- Full-time availability Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays (average 10-hour days).
- Commitment through the landscape season until roughly December, with winter work opportunities (snow removal) available.
